“Please help us find Marc John Paul Baccay”: Family anguished over missing CSU student

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan — The family of Marc John Paul D. Baccay, a resident of Balzain West, Tuguegarao City, is appealing to the public for help in locating him after he was reported missing on August 18, 2026.


Baccay, a student of Cagayan State University (CSU)–Carig Campus, was reportedly last seen by his family at their residence between 6:30 and 7:15 a.m. on August 18, when he left home to attend school.


Based on information provided by his family and friends, Baccay was reportedly seen later that day at the Florida Bus Terminal in Tuguegarao City between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. However, his whereabouts after the reported sighting remain unknown.


Timeline of disappearance


According to the information available from his family and friends, Baccay left his residence in Balzain West between 6:30 and 7:15 a.m. on August 18 to attend school.


Several hours later, he was reportedly seen at the Florida Bus Terminal between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. There have been no confirmed reports from the family regarding his whereabouts after that reported sighting.


When he did not return home, his family and friends became concerned and began seeking information that could help determine where he went.


The family is particularly appealing to anyone who may have seen Baccay after he left home, including those who may have encountered him at or near the Florida Bus Terminal, to immediately provide any information that could assist in the search.


They are also asking anyone who may have received information regarding his whereabouts to relay it to his family or the authorities.


Those with information may contact his sibling at 0915-065-4928 or his guardian at 0999-221-8753. Information may also be reported to the nearest police station for proper coordination and verification.


The family and friends are urging the public to share the missing-person appeal on social media and within their communities to help widen the search.


They remain hopeful that the public’s cooperation will help locate Baccay and bring him home safely.
