Kalinga PLGU kicks off 2024 with Thanksgiving Mass

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Governor James Edduba led the provincial local government in opening a brand new year with a Thanksgiving Mass on Tuesday, January 02, 2024.

 

As government employees go back to their jobs and mark the first work day of 2024, the mass was held at the Kalinga Sports Center in Bulanao. This is to start the new year by being grateful to the Creator and by recognizing the importance of unity and collective strength among government offices and employees.

 

Said Eucharist was officiated by Father George Manisem, Father Romeo Dawaton, and Father Roman Macaiba Jr.

 

In his message as relayed by Kalinga Provincial Information Officer Dionica Legasi, Governor Edduba extended his greetings to the provincial LGU staff and all yKalingas, wishing them a prosperous 2024.

 

For his part, Vice Governor Jocel Baac emphasized the importance of moving on from the unfortunate things that happened in 2023 and starting the new year with forgiveness.

 

“Let’s forgive and forget,” the vice governor stressed.

 

After the event, the provincial leaders and employees proceeded to start their work day at their respective offices.
