Tinglayan, Kalinga - The Sangguniang Panlalawigan approved Tinglayan’s Supplemental Budget No. 1 is set to benefit the residents of the town through improved government services and sustained operations with its approval.

Tinglayan LGU earlier proposed a P1,789,748.60 supplemental budget to augment the municipal government’s existing programs, support its basic operations, and finance priority development projects that aim to respond to the immediate needs of its constituents.

Based on the Committee Report No. 4 series of 2025 obtained by Guru Press Cordillera from a legislative staff, the LGU's proposed budget was carefully studied, evaluated, and was found to be “substantially” compliant with the local government code of 1991, its implementing rules and regulations, and applicable budgeting policies.

With that, the Local Finance Committee declared the proposed supplemental budget “operative” in its entirety.

In its recommendation, the Appropriations Committee advised the August Body (Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Kalinga) to approve the mentioned supplemental budget amount.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan, headed by Vice-Governor Dave Odiem, eventually approved the proposed budget during their regular session this Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the Legislative Building in Bulanao, Tabuk City.
