Mayor Dagadag lauds plan to put up fire station to boost emergency response

Tanudan, Kalinga―Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag expressed his support for the establishment of a fire station in the locality saying the development would significantly boost their disaster management operations specially on emergency response.

This, he, said is apart from the establishment of an office for the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and their equipment, whose presence would eventually upgrade the municipality’s Disaster Risk and Reduction Management capability which would be an advantage for the constituents in responding to emergencies.

In the recent signing of deed of lot donation ceremony involving the Tanudan LGU with the BFP on April 09 at Barangay Banagao, Mayor Dagadag expressed his appreciation to the support of the legislative and the BPF officials who contributed to the success of said endeavor.

“Ti Tanudan ket talaga nga awan ti uray BFP building sunga kunkunak a kasanu ngata met, so napanunut ko a maysa a priority daytoy building ti BFP isu ti inas asikaso mi,” he said.

He remarked that the rise of fire station will not only help on the response of fire incidents but the personnel could also provide concerned groups and the residents trainings on emergency management and response based on the needs of their localities.

“Delikado pay ditoy ket aga-abay ti balbalay talaga a dikit dikit, 1-2 meters ti distance. Haan lang met ketdi a puor tumulungan yu, ta adda pay pa-training tayo, pang rescue sunga nu adda kabailan yu ket agconduct kayo ti training,” he said.

With the presence of Regional Director SR SUPT Leonida Gumanab- Rosales, MM, Mayor Dagadag then appealed for BFP-CAR’s continuous support and to immediately fund the building construction.

“Sapay kuma ta daytoy plano tayo tatta a maikabil ti BFP building ket tuluy-tuloy kuma inggana malpas, tulungan dakami,” the mayor states.

“Sunga ipapapatik tatta ta uray siguro a haan a tatta ti sumrekan na mausar met dagiyay ubbing tayo, para ti safety dagiti sumaruno kadatayo. Amin met a plano tayo tatta ket haan lang a diyay plano a mausar nu bigat nu di ket mausar to dagiti ubbing tayo,” he added.
