Miner in Tuba, Benguet stabbed to death by fellow miner

Tuba, Benguet – A manhunt operation was launched after a miner from Baguio City was stabbed to death while having a drink with a co-worker at around 3 AM of Thursday, October 20, in Tuba, Benguet.

Municipal Police Station of Tuba identified the victim as a certain Reynante Balusdan Killip, a native of Kibungan, Benguet, and a resident of Purok 12, Apugan, Irisan, Baguio City.

The suspect was said to be Joey Madome, a native of Hingyon, Ifugao. He is also a miner.

Initial investigation of the police revealed that the victim had a heated argument with the suspect during their drinking session.

The argument triggered the suspect to grab a bolo and stab the victim leading to his death.

Further investigation on the incident is ongoing as the authorities search for Madome’s whereabouts.

In a social media post, the victim’s relative called those who have information on the suspect’s location to come forward.

“Kung sino man nakakalaam sa kinaroroonan ng taong pumatay sa pinsan nmin joey madomee! Ipagbigay alam sa kinauukulan! Awan karbengam nga mang ala dita biag ta kaisinsin mi, awan pusom nangisit unay ta kaluluwam,” Ạngẹ Pạsạnạ said.
