Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Department of Trade and Industry – Kalinga invites the public to do their grocery shopping this June 22-23, 2022 at the sidewalk in front of the Tabuk City National High School.
Discounted goods and commodities will be displayed in said trade fair site for the “Diskwento Caravan”, announced the agency on their Facebook page Friday, June 17.
The caravan is on time with the celebration of the Matagoan Festival this month.
According to DTI- Kalinga, distributor's prices, bundled packs, freebies and other promotional offers on basic necessities and prime commodities will be enjoyed by those who visit the trade fair site.
Diskwento Caravan is an initiative of the agency to provide easy access to low-priced basic and prime commodities for the public.
“Daytoy ngay diay bringing cheaper goods closer to the people, so as the program implies, discounted prices ti mait-ited. Inpasyar tayo ngay idiay barangays, indanun tayo dagiay basic in time commodities, adda ti lallaok nga vegetables,” said DTI Provincial Director Renie Ramos during an interview with Gimpong Radio.
The DTI official added that the said caravan is one of the major programs of the agency.
“Dakkel nga tulong daytoy [Diskwento Caravan] ta han nga daytoy normal pricing tayo. Makineg-negotiate kami kadagiti participating stores,” he stressed.
This year, Ramos disclosed that “Diskwento caravan” earlier held in some areas in Kalinga generated around P120, 000 total sales.
