When asked by the judge if he believes that education is the key to success if there is a saying that "daig ng masinop at madiskarte ang matalino", Salio confidently answered:
“Education is not just something found in the four walls of a classroom but rather it is also found outside of the field and the environment that you are living [in]. That is why I really do believe [in] that saying 'daig ng masipag ang masinop' and that's why I really do believe education is the key to success. But with proper training and assessment and with [the] proper application you can make sure this education is the key to success term will become the truth.”
As for Obiacoro, she was asked if she was ‘ready not to win the crown’ and why, to which she answered:
“In life, you are about to experience wins and defeats and these wins and defeats teach us many lessons, [and] give us many memories. So if you ask me tonight, am I ready not to win the crown? I'll be honest, I am not, because I have prepared so much for this and my whole Benguet State family is with me and I don't want to disappoint them but rather I would like to stand up not only for myself but for my whole university and for the whole Cordillera in order to prosper my advocacy which is Econutrition by using four-fold functions of our University which is research, extension, production, and instruction. So if you ask me, am I ready not to win the crown tonight? I say no because I have an advocacy to fulfill.”
The reigning Mr. and Ms. CARASUC 2023 will now prepare to carry the banner of Cordillera in the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) athletic meet and socio-cultural festival slated for October 2023 in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.
