P152M Banneng-Darulog-Bawac Road improvement in Tanudan nears completion



Tanudan, Kalinga – The improvement of the multi-million Banneng-Darulog-Bawac farm-to-market road in Tanudan is now ninety percent complete.


Through the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP), the road was funded with P152 million.

Said amount covers the development of the 6.7-kilometer farm-to-market road which construction works began after its groundbreaking ceremony in April 2022 at Sitio Darulog, Dupligan, Tanudan.


The road will benefit around 479 households and the FMR’s improvement is expected to boost coffee, banana, and rice production in Tanudan and some parts of Tabuk City.


DA Director Narciso Edillo together with DA - Cordillera inspectorate team, Provincial Agriculturist Domingo Bakilan, OCDC-Contractor, and personnel from the Provincial LGU proceeded to inspect the implementation of the project recently, according to Kalinga Provincial Information Office in a report on Oct. 26.


Now that the improvement of the Banneng-Darulog-Bawac FMR was assessed to be 90% complete, the project is expected to be done by the end of 2023.
