Benguet, Philippines — Authorities and loved ones are still searching for Patrolman Aaron L. Blas — and now the family is offering a cash reward to anyone with tips on where to find him.

Blas, 25, and a resident of San Gregorio, Luna, Apayao, was undergoing a land navigation activity as part of the PNP’s Basic Internal Security Operations Course (BISOC) in Barangay Ampucao, Itogon, Benguet, when he went missing on July 14.

According to the police, he failed to return for the headcount later that day. Upon reviewing the CCTV footage, he was seen returning to the Zigzag Dam 2 area in the terrain of Philex Mines at 5:30 p.m. on the same day.

Authorities have been combing the area and nearby places since then, but have not yet found him.

On Friday, Benguet Police Provincial Office said the family of Blas is offering a P200,000 reward for anyone who can provide credible information on his whereabouts.

“All information will be kept confidential,” stated the police office.

Those with information may contact Benguet PPO at 0998-598-7780 or Itogon Municipal Police Station at 0998-598-7785.

Benguet PPO further assured that search operations are still ongoing, with the aid of the local government unit Itogon, Philex Mines Inc., other concerned agencies, and volunteers.
