P20M IP housing project in Santa Marcela undergo Final Inspection and Acceptance

Santa Marcela, Apayao - Following the completion and turn over of the 50 concrete subdivision houses from NHA for IP beneficiaries in Barangay San Juan, Santa Marcela, Apayao, a final inspection and formal acceptance program was held on September 4.


Representing Mayor Evelyn Martinez in the inspection was Supervising Administrative Officer Pastor Oscar T. Ramos, Jr.


Vice Mayor Rolly U. Guiang, SB officials, some LGU heads and barangay IPMRs were also present joining the NHA team represented by Engr. Mary Flor F. Aquino, Principal Engineer A; Engr. Bryan L. Cabalfin, Supervising Engineer A; Engr. Jefferson V. Tabuac, Principal Engineer C; Engr. Dexter R. Bancud, Principal Engineer C; and Mr. Ralph Orpilla, Driver/Mechanic.


As informed by MPDC Larry Balanay during previous interviews, the project started in 2019 and with a total cost of P20M. Each unit had a budget of more than P300,000, with basic amenities included.


Through the initiative of Mayor Evelyn B. Martinez, the recipient Agta families were provided with electricity apart from the food, clothing, and kitchen utensils from the Municipal Local Government Unit.


Mayor Martinez lauded the LGU offices involved in the project as well as the Office of the Sangguniang Bayan. She likewise expressed thanks to the NHA for the program, underlining that the provision of homes for the Agta constituents will greatly serve them, uplifting their lives.


‘’Addan tu pay dadduma nga projects para kadakayo, urayen tayo laeng ta mapasamak to dagitoy babaen ti tulong ni Congresswoman Eleanor Bulut-Begtang,’’ the mayor expressed referring to the possible opening of Child Development center for preschoolers and installation of a water system.
