Tabuk City, Kalinga – Graduating students and jobseekers who are bachelor’s degree holders in Kalinga are invited to attend the Recruitment Information Drive for the Officer Candidate Course (OCC) next month.

During a visit to the office of Governor James Edduba on Tuesday, February 27, some personnel of the Philippine Army informed that they will be conducting the information drive in two locations in Tabuk City from March 7-8, 2024.

The first orientation shall take place at the Kalinga State University-Bulanao Campus on the first schedule, while on March 8, it will unfold at the KSU-Dagupan Campus.

The drive plays a crucial role in identifying prospective candidates for the officer candidate course.

For those interested in taking on the challenge of becoming defenders of the country against all forms of threats, they are required to bring some pertinent documents for validation and screening purposes.

These include a college diploma, a transcript of records, a Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-issued birth certificate, and any government-issued identification card.

For inquiries, interested individuals can contact the following army officers: SSg. Calilan at 0906-353-7420 and Sgt. Sumibcay at 0926-614-1970.

To recall, on December 5 last year, seven Kalingas graduated from the Army’s Officer Candidate School of Training and Doctrine Command in Camp O’Donnell in Capas, Tarlac.

Their graduation automatically ensures their commissioning as second lieutenants and ensigns in the Armed Forces of the Philippines Regular and Reserve Forces by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
