Notably, Bishop Jun Andaya was also among the distinguished attendees, along with those from Kalinga PNP and BFP, and President of University of Cagayan Valley, Dr. Susan Perez-Mari.

Addressing the diverse audience, Kalinga Governor James Edduba took the stage to extend a warm welcome to all guests. He highlighted the importance of such initiatives in presenting Kalinga to the world, while debunking misconceptions about the province.

Edduba affirmed Kalinga's tranquil and inclusive nature, contrary to stereotypes that depict Kalinga as a land of headhunters.

“It’s so nice to be here because what’s happening here tonight is actually promoting the province of Kalinga and thank you to those who initiated this event,” remarked the Governor as he declared the event as a precursor to the forthcoming Kalinga Bodong festival. He invited everyone to partake in the cultural revelry slated for February 12-16, promising a showcase of indigenous dances and traditions.
