Tabuk City, Kalinga – The public is being advised to heighten vigilance against thieves in Tabuk City – the latest target of one of these unscrupulous individuals was a family house in Dagupan Weste.

According to one of the family members, he discovered somebody had broken into their property when he woke up past 5:00 a.m. today, July 30. The young man related that when he checked the surroundings, the generator set, which was placed on their porch, was missing. He then asked his uncle if he happened to move the generator, but the uncle didn’t.

The young man went to check their gate and saw that the padlock was destroyed, probably by a bolt cutter. This prompted him to check their CCTV and saw a man wearing a helmet carrying the generator away at 3:30 a.m.

“Nadagsen diay ngem nakaya na nga bagkaten nga agmaymaysa,” he said.

The generator, according to the young man, was placed by the family on the porch since they want it ready to be used in case a power outage happens.

No other materials were taken from the property, although it was not certain if the man roamed around the compound first before his eyes landed on the generator. The incident was already reported to the Tabuk City Police Station and is currently being investigated.
