Santa Marcela LGU holds 4th quarter joint meeting for updates on crucial issues

Santa Marcela, Apayao-The Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC), and Municipal Council for Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (MCAT-VAWC) on Dec. 6, convened for their 4th Quarter joint meeting to provide updates on crucial issues relative to the town's welfare.


Said meeting was held at the EKB Clubhouse and was led by the Joint Councils' chairperson Mayor Evelyn B. Martinez, participated in by the members of the local councils.


Agenda discussed by the MPOC and MADAC include Peace and Order Situation Updates and Accomplishments, Anti-Insurgency Updates and concerns, Public Safety Updates & Concerns, Jail Management Updates & Concerns, Drug Situation Updates, Pops plan status and updates, and other Issues and Concerns.


For the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC), the Work and Financial Plan, LCPC Updates and LCPC Accomplishments have been tackled.


Moreover, the MCAT-VAWC focused its discussions on LCAT-VAWC work and financial plan status, updates on VAWC cases as well as other LCAT-VAWC Updates.


Personnel from PNP, BJMP-Apayao District Warden, BFP-Santa Marcela, MSWDO, CSOs, Municipal heads, Punong Barangays and their representatives joined said meeting.


Mayor Martinez, as the chairperson, urged members of the councils to continue working in unity to ensure a more secured and peaceful community for the townspeople.


Meantime, participants affirmed commitment and support to resolve critical issues affecting the residents and to maintain peace and order across the municipality.
