Santa Marcela LGU is 2024 GFH Passer

Santa Marcela, Apayao – The Local government Unit of Santa Marcela is 2024 Good Financial Housekeeping passer for its outstanding performance and transparency in administering public funds, the DILG announced on Tuesday, 4 March 2025.

The LGU has been found compliant with the Commission on Audit (COA)’s accounting and auditing standards and the DILG’s Full Disclosure Policy, specifically in upholding transparency, accountability, and sound financial management and practices as certified by the DILG - Bureau of Local Government Supervision.

Mayor Evelyn Martinez, in her previous talks, stressed that every achievement shows the LGU and the officialdom’s commitment to good governance, setting a benchmark for remarkable public service.

“As we keep on working as one, we will achieve greater success. Every achievement is a testament to our commitment towards exemplar public service and governance," she expressed.

The GFH is designed to assess LGUs relative to funds utilization and adherence to financial management principles, and deemed as one significant key assessment that LGUs must meet to qualify for the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).
