SLU is among top-performing law schools in 2023 Bar exams

Baguio City, Philippines – Alongside the list of bar passers, the top performing law schools in the 2023 bar examinations were likewise released by the Supreme Court on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

Among the top-performing law schools announced is Saint Louis University in Baguio City.

The school clinched the second spot among law schools in the country with 11–50 candidates.

Out of 42 first-time takers, 39 passed the bar examination, yielding a passing percentage of 92.86%.

Meanwhile, as to the all-candidates category, SLU is 4th in the ranking of law schools with 51–100 candidates. Forty-seven out of the 77 takers or a passing percentage of 61.04 percent was noted.

The Supreme Court earlier announced that 36.77% of the 10,387 actual bar takers last September passed the exam. This represents 3,812 out of the 10,387 actual candidates.

The successful examinees will take their oath and sign their rolls at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Seashell Lane in Pasay City, on December 22.

To recall, the SLU School of Law is also the second top performing law school in the November 2022 bar examination on the 11-50 candidates category.

In said exam, first-time takers had a passing rate of 95 percent, while in the all-candidate category, the average passing rate was 78.46 percent.
