Tanudan, Kalinga – More units of blood have been added to the Tanudan blood bank following the mobile donation drive on January 27 in Bulanao.

During the said event, 27 units were collected from healthy donors who visited the Dakaran Credit Cooperative in Purok 5 to donate blood. This information comes from Feth Bagyon Bangngagan, the Blood Program Coordinator of Tanudan Municipal Health Office.

Bangngagan added that some of these collected units will be used for platelet preparation, specifically for dengue patients.

The extracted blood, meanwhile, was transported to the Cagayan Valley Medical Center for storage and will be made available for Tanudan patients in need of blood.

With the success of the event, the Municipal Health Office and the Dakaran Credit Cooperative expressed their gratitude to the donors who participated in the event.

“Thank you for consistently supporting our Municipal Blood Program. Sapay kuma ta umad-adu tayo manen nu next,” Bangngagan conveyed.
