Tanudan, Kalinga─ A total of 40 health workers and 5 senior citizens from this town received their first dose of the CoVid-19 vaccine on April 26, held at the Municipal Hall, Sitio Banagao, Barangay Poblacion.

They were the latest to benefit from the Department of Health (DOH) vaccination program dubbed “RESBAKUNA: Kasangga ng Bida” with the aim to provide free and effective high-quality vaccines prioritizing the most-at-risk and most vulnerable populations.

Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag conveyed his gratitude for the successful vaccination program that benefitted not only the health workers, but also the senior citizens who needed the protection against the virus.

In addition, Geraldine Wacdagan of the Municipal Health Office said that they were able to convince constituents to participate in the inoculation through the intensive and thorough Information, Education and Communication campaign among the frontliners.

Meanwhile, there are 10 recorded for deferral, due to shortage or serious temporary illness, and one refusal.
