Tanudan, Kalinga – Tanudan LGU through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office conducts Water Search and Rescue training course for interested individuals in the municipality, increasing the number of rescue team members in the municipality ready to respond quickly and save people’s lives during disasters.

Tanudan is known for its unfavorable topography that when it comes to unwanted incidents happens in far flung areas, the rescue team or authorities find it difficult for them to respond immediately because it takes time to reach the area.

Said training is on-going and is held in Barangay Appas, Tabuk City, Kalinga- from September 26 to October 3, 2022. The mentors and facilitators come from the Office of Red Cross-NCR through the able assistance of Red Cross Kalinga personnel.

With the creation of rescue team members in every barangay, the municipality is better prepared for effective response and early recovery, added Alunday.
