Tanudan, Kalinga – At least 250 runners and nature enthusiasts are all set to witness the official launching of the Tawang Falls in Pangol through the ‘Tanudan Run’ 2025 scheduled this coming Saturday, December 20.

Tawang Falls is a natural waterfall in Tanudan, Kalinga, valued by local communities. It features cascading freshwater from upland forests, forming cool pools amid dense vegetation and rock formations. The serene site serves as a water source, heritage, and potential eco-tourism destination, accessible by trekking, especially during the rainy season.

After the registration ended on December 14, Tanudan Municipal Tourism Officer Aurie Banson informed that there are around 250 individuals attending the event. She added that they are all set to host the activity which was originally slated on November 22 but was put on hold due to the devastation brought by the Super Typhoon Uwan to Tanudan.

The Tanudan Run 2025 features three categories – 21 KM, 12 KM, and 6 KM run which will give the attendees a glimpse of the scenic trail of Lower Tanudan.

When all participants reach the finish line, the formal launching of the Tawang Falls in Cabugao, Pangol as one of the newest tourism destinations in the municipality will take place. Meantime, proceeds from the event will be used in the construction of a new comfort room in the area which will be used by the public who will come to see, relax, and bond with their loved ones at the new tourism site.
