‘The existence of PBS-BBS greatly helps in this information-driven society’ - Gov. Tubban

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Representing the people of Kalinga, Governor Ferdinand Tubban applauded the Philippine Broadcasting Service-Bureau of Broadcast Services (PBS-BBS) for reaching another milestone in the history of public service.

Tubban expressed his congratulatory message through a minute-long video released by the Provincial Governor’s Office-Information Services on Monday, January 31, 2022.

The governor said the 75 years of existence of PBS-BBS greatly helped the people in this information-driven society, thus wishing them more success in the years to come.

He explained that PBS-BBS is responsible for disseminating thru broadcast information on the activities, policies, and directions of the Government and the Presidency, throughout the country. It is the leading public radio network and is responsible for its national and international audiences.

Also, the state radio network, he said, serves as a highly credible channel of information, a true public forum, and a persuasive agent of social change and development.

Manned by service-driven and competent personnel and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and technology, PBS-BBS champions what is relevant in any specific service area for the benefit of the greatest number of people and the development of the nation, the governor concluded.
