Tinglayan LGU discusses audit findings, recommendations amid transition to new administration

Tinglayan, Kalinga – Municipal Local Government Unit officials in Tinglayan convened for a Commission on Audit Exit Conference on Thursday, May 29, 2025 amid ongoing transition activities to ready the new administration.

 

The Exit Conference is an event where officials discuss audit findings, observations, and recommendations. The activity is part of the audit process, facilitating transparency, accountability, and improved governance.

 

Among the agenda discussed in the event which was attended by heads of offices and other concerned office members in Tinglayan included status of implementation of prior audit recommendations and present audit observation memorandum for 2024.

 

Apart from holding the COA Exit Conference, the Municipal Hall is all hands in facilitating a swift transition to the new administration as Mayor Sacrament Gumilab is set to turn over the leadership to Mayor-elect Charles Abay on June 30, 2025.

 

Gumilab, considered as the father of modern Tinglayan, led Tinglayan for the past nine years implementing numerous physical and social transformations in said town.
