16 official Miss Kalinga 2023 candidates unveiled


Tabuk City, Kalinga – Following the deliberation and rigorous screening process, the stage is now set for 16 official candidates to compete in this year’s Miss Kalinga pageant.


The pageant which had been on a three-year hiatus is finally having a comeback to give chance for Kalinga beauties to compete for the crown and, if given the opportunity, to represent Kalinga not only on the national but on the international stage.

Twenty –six beauties applied for the competition but only 16 candidates were chosen.


Of the 26 aspirants, 7 candidates from Tabuk City, 2 each from Rizal and Balbalan, and 1 each from Lubuagan, Pasil, Pinukpuk, Tanudan and Tinglayan were able to enter the official candidates' list.


They are Charlene Gaano and Leslyn Balasi (Balbalan); Arianne Lammao (Tanudan);May Raquel Dugao (Pinukpuk); Kaye Paga (Tinglayan), Desiree Basiwal (Pasil); Zaira Lungao (Lubuagan); and Angeline Dupaya and Jeramil Walis from Rizal.


Also on the roster are Althea Butay, Dori Domingo, Diwata Baglinit, Jancess Agustin, Joanna Dalere, Jessica Bumacas, and Anele Jane Annogui, all from Tabuk City.

A pre-pageant competition will be held on February 7 prior to the big night.


The candidates will have to compete for the Best in Traditional Attire at the Capitol Canopy morning of said date and the swimsuit competition to be held at the Golden Field Hotel in San Juan, Tabuk City at 2 PM.


The coronation night is set for 6 PM on February 14 at the Kalinga Sports Center.
