19-year-old Cordilleran car racer finishes 2nd in F4 SEA Championship

Baguio City, Philippines – Car racer Iñigo Navarrete Anton of Baguio City ranked second in overall standings following a tight race in Formula 4 South East Asia Championship on June 13 at the Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand.

 

The F4 SEA Championship is a competition giving competitive environment for young drivers to hone their skills. It involves a structured pathway to advance in motorsports, and it starts from karting and moves towards higher levels of racing.

 

Anton finished second following a fierce race with more experienced competitors, earning him another rookie cup in Race 5, Round 2.

As cited by 2nernation, the 19-year-old wheelman expressed his joy and revealed that it was his first experience racing in wet conditions in a Formula car.

 

“It was a fun race, and I’m super happy with the results. This was a big step forward in my learning curve,” he expressed.

 

With Round 2 now complete, Anton is gearing up for his first-ever street circuit in Round 3 of the F4 SEA series, set for July in Bangsaen, Thailand.

 

“We’re working hard on developing our setup for Bangsaen. It’s an unfamiliar territory, so it’ll definitely be a challenge. But I’m learning fast, and we’ll give it everything we’ve got,” he was quoted saying.

 

Among Anton’s recent accomplishments, meantime, include winning two Rookie Cup titles in Races 1 and 3 of the first round at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia in May 2025.
