19-yr.-old who bullied 2 minors in Bontoc charged with physical injury

Bontoc, Mt. Province – The 19-year-old young man who went viral for bullying two minors in Poblacion, Bontoc was formally charged on April 23, 2025.

The young man was caught in a video kicking two younger teens who were sitting outside the Sta. Rita Cathedral de Cascia on April 8. The bully was held by the Bontoc police, but they had to release him before the filing of a formal complaint against the suspect.

More than two weeks since the incident, the PNP Bontoc informed that a case of physical injuries in relation to Republic Act 7610 or the ‘Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act’ was lodged against the 19-year-old before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor on Wednesday.

The PNP Bontoc, in a press release, assured the public that the police do not stop pursuing justice for victims and holding individuals who commit infractions of the law accountable for their actions.

“We continue to appeal to the public to promptly report any similar incidents or suspicious activities in their areas. Together, let us foster a safe and peaceful environment for all members of our community,” they wrote.
