2 Cordilleran graduates top Dentists' board exam

Baguio City, Philippines – The new year may be just starting, but two graduates of Cordillera universities have already marked a milestone in their professional careers in 2024.


Two of the 732 new dentists in the country are Jacob David Manabat, an alumnus of Pines City College, and Ma. Alyssa Carlos Tagata of the University of Baguio.


Manabat and Tagata took the written exam of the November 2023 Licensure Examination for Dentists on November 28 – 30 and the practical phase of the test in Metro Manila on January 4 – 11.

Six days later, the Professional Regulation Commission announced that Manabat and Tagata not only passed the licensure exam but also made it onto the list of top 10 examinees.


Manabat secured the fifth top spot with an 82.04% rating, while Tagata secured the eighth place with an overall score of 81.63%.


Both Pines City College and the University of Baguio expressed their felicitations of their respective alumni, citing their dedication and passion. The two higher institutions wished the two doctors success as they spread their wings and contribute to changing the world.
