2 houses in Tabuk destroyed by fire

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Two days after the residential fire in Purok 5, Bulanao, another two residences suffered the same fate in the same purok this August 28.

Bureau of Fire Protection Tabuk Bulanao substation Shift in-charge, Fire Officer 3 Mark Francis Gabel narrated that their office responded to a residential fire at 2:01 PM when a concerned citizen came to report the incident.

When they arrived at the place of incident in Purok 5, the fire had already fully developed inside the two houses – a bungalow and a two-storey building.

After approximately 42 minutes, the BFP declared the fire out.

Gabel said that nobody was hurt during the incident. However, the bungalow which was made of light materials was burnt to the ground while the two-storey semi-concrete residential was partially burned.

“Diay 2-storey 50% kasi second storey ‘yung light materials na ‘yun ‘yung natupok. Diay bassit a balay talaga a naala amin diay,” he said.

The BFP is still investigating the cause of the fire and the total amount of damage to the two houses.

Meantime, Gabel is reminding the public to immediately call the BFP when there is fire or any other emergency cases such as drowning and vehicular accidents.

“Mabalin da nga ag-conduct iti firefighting nu agrugrugi ngem at the same time itawag da nga itawag a dagus. Reminders iti public kuma ta haan dan nga urayen a pumigsa santu agtawag da.”
