2 men from Kalinga accused of supplying marijuana in NCR arrested

Rizal, Kalinga – Two men accused of supplying marijuana in the National Capital Region now face charges after authorities found contraband at their place recently.

 

The suspects, whose names were not disclosed, were surprised by anti-narcotic agents and authorities at their door around 11:11 p.m. on April 29, 2024, in Santor, Rizal.

 

Armed with a search warrant, the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency from NCR, Cagayan Valley, and Cordillera, together with the Philippine National Police, searched the two suspects’ residences on said date.


The operation, as reported by the PDEA NCR, resulted in the discovery of suspected marijuana bricks, tubular, dried leaves, and marijuana oil. All of these were estimated to be worth P4,596,000.

 

The authorities likewise confiscated an air rifle and drug paraphernalia.

 

Meanwhile, the two accused, who are now in the custody of the authorities, are believed to be among the sources of marijuana in the National Capital Region.

 

They will be answering charges for violation of Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
