Conner, Apayao – Two men were supposed to just help ferry hogs on Monday morning when the jeepney they were riding on encountered a mechanical defect.

Talking to GURU Press Cordillera, Conner police investigator, PSSgt. Jackson Makin, narrated that five men were on board a jeepney ferrying swine from Kabugao, Apayao, on the morning of May 26.

The tragic incident happened when the jeep lost brakes while traversing the road in Guinaang, Conner. The driver first managed to direct the vehicle, but he lost control over it when they reached the descending portion of the road, an accident-prone area, causing the jeep to overturn and fall into the 10-meter ravine down from the highway.
