Echague, Isabela – If not alcohol intoxication, speeding is another reason why road crashes transpire.

This was proven true by a crash between two motorcycles killing one and injuring another individual in Garit Sur, Echague, Isabela on Tuesday, January 17.

Police said the two tested negative in an alcohol test but were said to have been speeding, causing the accident.

The fatality is a 27-year-old construction worker named Jun Rey Capaz, while the injured is identified as Rolly Domingo, 43.

Capaz has just sent his kid to school and was heading to work when the collision happened.

While Capaz was about to turn towards a gasoline station, Domingo who was driving a Honda TMX hit the former’s motorcycle causing both of them to sustain injuries in the different parts of their body.

Domingo is considered lucky after surviving the accident. He is now being treated in a hospital in the province.

Capaz, meantime, was declared dead on arrival.

Domingo will be facing Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide, police said.
