3 individuals injured in Kalinga road crash on Easter Sunday

Tabuk City, Kalinga – No lives were lost due to road accidents in Kalinga during this year’s Holy Week, according to Kalinga police.

After drowning, road crash is another cause of death in the country during Lent. As of April 10, 2023, four individuals were reported dead in the Philippines due to a vehicular accident.


In Kalinga, while there were no casualties, two road crash incidents were documented from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday.


Kalinga Police Information Officer, PCapt. Ruff Manganip revealed that these separate cases happened on April 9, Easter Sunday, in Bulanao, Tabuk City, and Bangad Centro, Tinglayan.


Of these cases, 3 were reported harmed. One was subjected to an X-ray while two sustained minor injuries.


It could be recalled that during the observance of Holy Week in 2022, four individuals died in Tabuk City after their vehicle plunged into a 150-meter-deep ravine in Bagumbayan. The incident happened on Black Saturday and the casualties were from Apayao.
