34-yr-old passenger hurt after falling from moving multicab in Rizal, Kalinga

RIZAL, Kalinga — A 34-year-old passenger was injured after he reportedly fell from a moving multicab along the Santiago-Tuguegarao National Road near the Romualdez Public Cemetery in Rizal, Kalinga on Friday afternoon, September 4, 2026.


The incident was reported to authorities at around 2:09 p.m. The victim, a resident of Barangay Romualdez, Rizal, was conscious when responders arrived at the scene.

He sustained abrasions on his left shoulder and left hip, as well as a deformity and possible fracture to his left shoulder.


The Rizal Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office–Emergency Medical Services (MDRRMO-EMS) Team Bravo immediately responded, conducted an initial assessment and provided first aid to the victim.


He was subsequently transported to the Juan M. Duyan Memorial District Hospital (JMDMDH) for further medical evaluation and treatment.


The MDRRMO-EMS reminded passengers to remain seated and properly secured while vehicles are moving.


Passengers were also advised against standing, sitting in unsafe areas or leaning outside vehicles, and were urged to follow drivers’ safety instructions at all times.


“Stay inside, stay secure, and arrive safely,” the emergency responders reminded the public.
