The man, whose identity was not disclosed for privacy, was a delivery mn and a resident in the city, according to the police report obtained by the XFM-Santiago.

Investigation conducted by the police found out that the victim had a drinking session with his friend “Raffy” in the evening of August 17 before the incident.

Due to intoxication and heavy rain at that time, the two decided to spend the night at the barracks of another friend, sleeping in separate rooms.

When Raffy woke up at 5:00 am the next morning, August 18, he left the barracks thinking his friend was still asleep.

At past 6:00 a.m., the owner of the barracks arrived and discovered the 38-year-old hanging inside, with his neck tied to the ceiling.

The owner of the barracks revealed to the investigators that the victim had already attempted to kill himself many times due to depression.

The body was no longer subjected to an autopsy as the victim’s relatives believed no foul play was involved in the incident.
