Baguio City, Philippines- A man in his 40s decided to end his own life over undisclosed reasons by hanging himself in Baguio City on the afternoon of May 19.

According to police reports obtained by Bombo Radyo-Baguio, the man, an on-call driver from La Paz, Umingan, Pangasinan, and currently living in Dontogan, Baguio City, was found hanging inside a room at around 5:00 p.m. on said day.

The victim's fellow driver told police that he saw the lifeless body hanging by a telecom wire inside the room in Dontogan, which was left open.

Before the incident, the man reportedly sent a photo of a hanging wire and a message that he was ready and asking for forgiveness.

Another individual also claimed to have overheard the victim saying "Madanunanda daytoy a mangil-ngilaw iti oras iti alas siete ti agsapa” (They’ll find this (body) already surrounded by flies at seven in the morning) before he committed the suicide.

As of this writing, investigators from the Baguio City Forensic Unit are still investigating the circumstances behind the incident.
