47-yr-old man found unconscious in Baguio City public restroom now DEAD

Baguio City, Philippines – A man in Baguio who was found unconscious inside Jollibee Harrison’s public restroom on Thursday morning, September 26, reportedly died at a hospital where he was taken to.

Based on initial reports via MSWD-BGHMC Cordillera, the man found in the morning of September 26 by concerned witnesses who immediately called for help and were responded to by personnel of the Red Cross who aided the patient was transported to the Baguio General Hospital.

The patient was earlier described to be at least 5’4” (162.56cm) in height with a slim body build, brown eyes and hair, and is wearing a brown shirt, black jacket and pants at the time of admission to said hospital.

There were no traces of personal belongings that might help identify the man—IDs, phone or wallet, so the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC), through its Emergency Department and Trauma Center, was left to seek the public’s help in identifying the patient through social media.

Later in the evening of September 26, the patient’s sister identified the man as Danilo Tesoro Samonte with the help of shared posts.

Unfortunately, the man was already dead and was brought to the Baguio Memorial Chapels by the social welfare personnel.

The relatives are yet to claim the body of the dead man.
