55-year-old man shot dead inside tricycle in San Mariano, Isabela

San Mariano, Isabela - A 55-year-old man in San Mariano, Isabela was shot multiple times inside a tricycle on May 20, 2024, by a yet-to-be-known suspect.

The victim, identified as Reynaldo Alfante Jr., was a resident of Barangay Minanga, San Mariano.

An initial report from San Mariano Police Station obtained by local media disclosed that Reynaldo, along with his companion, was headed home on board a tricycle when the shooting incident transpired.

The two came from a fiesta in Barangay Dibuluan that day.

While on their way, a man suddenly appeared on the roadside and signaled them to stop the tricycle.

When the tricycle stopped, the man approached Reynaldo and shot him in various parts of his body, particularly on his flank and neck. Reynaldo died on the spot due to the gunshot wounds.

Fortunately, his colleague, who drove the vehicle, was able to escape the killing and reported the incident immediately to the authorities.

Investigations are now underway to determine the motive of the killing and the identity of the suspect who fled from the crime scene.
