Tuba, Benguet – A 29-year-old motorcycle rider died after reportedly falling into a ravine along Kennon Road in Sitio Maramal, Camp 4, Tuba, Benguet, on the morning of Tuesday, June 23.

The victim, whose identity was withheld by authorities, was a resident of Camp 4, Tuba, and a native of Barangay Karao, Bokod, Benguet.

Based on the initial police report, as cited by local media outlets, both the victim and his motorcycle were discovered by a worker at a nearby construction site.

Upon receiving the report, authorities immediately responded to the scene. However, they found the rider already lifeless. Investigators said he sustained a severe head injury believed to have been caused by hitting large rocks during the fall.

The victim was reportedly wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

Construction workers told investigators that they had heard a loud sound before the discovery but did not immediately check the area because they did not suspect that a motorcycle and its rider had plunged into the ravine.

Initial findings suggest that the incident may have occurred around midnight, several hours before the victim was found.

The victim's remains were later brought to his family's residence in Camp 4, Tuba, where his wake is being held.

Guru Press Cordillera sought additional details from the Tuba Municipal Police Station, but authorities declined to release further information, citing the ongoing investigation.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
