7 festivals featured in FIRST Cordillera Festival of Festivals this October 15

Baguio City, Philippines - The Department of Tourism-Cordillera confirmed over the weekend that 7 Cordillera festivals will be showcased this October 15 for the First Cordillera Festival of Festivals event.


DOT-Cordillera describes the events as a celebration of victory and cultural reawakening, presenting in one venue major festivals of the 6 provinces of the Cordillera region and Baguio City.

These include Abra’s Laga Festival, Apayao’s Say-am Festival, Baguio’s Panagbenga Festival, Benguet’s Adivay Festival, Ifugao’s Gotad Ad Ifugao, Kalinga’s Bodong Festival, and Mt. Province’s Lang-ay Festival.


“Come out and join us on October 15, 2022, in Baguio City for a visual delight and display of colors signaling the recovery of tourism as DOT-CAR, in cooperation with the Provinces of Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mt. Province and the City of Baguio, stages the first-ever Cordillera Festival of Festivals Show, a celebration of victory and cultural reawakening,” invites the agency.

The event, the agency added, extols the region’s resiliency and unity which were the main forces behind the people’s survival over the pandemic. Further, it is also a means to celebrate Indigenous Peoples Month.


During the event, participants will first parade along Session Road at 8 AM before heading to Malcolm Square to enjoy the ‘feast in the rich cultural heritage of the Cordillera’ through the presentation of its major festivals.
