72.-yr.-old farmer arrested for molesting minor in Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – An elderly farmer is currently in police custody after being served with an arrest warrant for allegedly molesting a minor in Tabuk City.

 

The accused, a 72-year-old man in the city, has been tagged by the police as the No. 7 top most wanted person in Tabuk for the first quarter of 2024.

 

Authorities arrested him on January 9 in Barangay Lanna.


According to police accounts, the man is accused of touching the private part of a minor, leading to the issuance of his arrest warrant on January 8 for Acts of Lasciviousness in relation to Republic Act 7610 or the "Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.”

 

The court has recommended a P120,000 bail for his temporary freedom.

 

The elderly individual was escorted by authorities to the Tabuk City Police Station.

 

In a separate incident on January 10, operatives apprehended a 41-year-old man listed as the No. 1 top most wanted person in Tabuk City for the first quarter of the year. He faces charges related to violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
