Army shots suspected wife's lover in Baguio City

Baguio City, Philippines - A member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines reportedly shot his wife's alleged lover in San Vicente, Baguio City.

Initial investigation states that the 44-year-old AFP member from Victoria, Tarlac travelled to Baguio to see his family after being away for a long time.

On Tuesday, March 5, he and his wife stayed in an apartment being rented by the 25-year-old security guard in said barangay.

When the security guard arrived early in the morning, he forced to enter the apartment.

The AFP member tried to calm him down, but the guard broke the glass window and burst into the room.

It was then, accordingly, that the AFP member pulled out his firearm and shot the security guard in his left leg.

The responding police personnel arrested the suspect and recovered from him one .45 caliber pistol with a magazine, and four pieces of live ammunition. He was taken into the custody of the Baguio City Police Office.

It was said that the suspect’s wife was engaged in an illicit affair with the victim, but the suspect had no knowledge of it.
