AFP to conduct pre-entry examinations at KSU-Bulanao this November - 103rd Infantry “Mabalasik” Battalion

Tabuk City, Kalinga - The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is set to bring its Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT) to Tabuk City, Kalinga, this November 2025, giving aspiring soldiers and officers in the province the opportunity to pursue a career in the uniformed service. 


AFPSAT is the first and mandatory qualifying examination for qualified individuals who want to join the AFP, whether in the Army, Navy, or Air Force.

In a Facebook post, the 103rd Infantry “Mabalasik” Battalion said the pre-entry test for both the Officer Candidate Course (OCC) and Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) will take place at the Kalinga State University - Bulanao Campus. 


For the OCC, the test will be on November 10-11, followed by the Army Qualifying Examination (AQE) and the Special Written Examination (SWE) on November 12. 


Applicant for this course must be a natural-born Filipino citizen, baccalaureate degree holder, at least 5 feet tall (both male and female), physically and mentally fit, at least 20 years old but not a day older than 27 years old upon oath taking, and not have a pending case in any court. 


On the other hand, for those who want to take the CSC test on November 13 at the same venue, one must be at least a senior high school graduate or have completed 72 units in college and be at least 18 years old but not a day older than 20 years old upon oath-taking. 


Other qualifications under this course are the same as the OCC. 


Intersested applicants are advised to complete the necessary requirements and make sure having the listed qualifications before the scheduled examination to avoid delays and disqualification during the screening process and that efforts will not be wasted.
