Tabuk City, Kalinga – Nothing is excluded in the eyes of thieves in Tabuk City, not even cock fighting roosters.

Among the latest cases of theft in Tabuk City happened in Barangay San Juan, where a family lost their roosters in broad daylight on Easter Sunday, April 20.

According to the owner, the suspects stole five of their roosters, not even hesitating to do the act even in the middle of the day, where the chances of them getting caught are higher. While only five roosters were taken, the owner shared she was disheartened by the incident, especially since she’s the one taking care of them and feeding them.

The victim added this is the second time this happened to them, recounting the first time where someone stole a rooster from them that was used for cockfighting. Said fowl won the match, but later died. The suspect was pardoned by the family after the thief asked for forgiveness and paid for the rooster.

Another recent theft case in the city happened on Good Friday, April 18, wherein a man entered a boarding house in the city. In the CCTV footage shared by the landlady victim on Facebook, the man wearing a sweater, black backpack, a dark round-shaped hat, and a face mask entered their building and took her boarder’s laptop.

With these incidents, the public is advised to remain vigilant and secure their houses and establishments as these unscrupulous people do not choose a time to attack nor objects to target.
