Updated: May 24

Tabuk City, Kalinga – After successfully making it to the top five of the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant, Baguio bet Tarah Valencia was selected by the MUPH organization as the representative of the country for the Miss Supranational pageant.

The Cordilleran beauty’s spectacular performance in the preliminary competition made her earned the right to be among the top 20 in the competition in the pageant finals held Thursday, May 22, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

After the intense battle in the swimsuit round, she secured a spot in the top 10 letting her waltz down the stage while wearing a red evening gown designed by Glademir Echavarre.

Surprisingly, she advanced to the next round of the competition along with Bulacan's Chelsea Manalo, Cainta's Stacey Gabriel, Quezon Province's Athisa Manalo and Taguig bet Christy McGarry.

Their wit and confidence were tested in the question and answer segment where Baguio bet was asked what her breakthrough or big achievement was and how it improved her as a person.

"Being here in this prestigious pageant or the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 is my greatest achievement. The Tara before was someone who limits herself when it comes to her achievements. When I stepped here in the Miss Universe Philippines and I see the transformation, the improvement, and how I was able become an inspirational woman that I am now. And that is someone, something that I would be proud after this journey,” she replied.

Impressing the panel of judges with her answer, she was named as MUPH 2024 third runner-up. Shining the brightest on said coronation night is Chelsea Manalo, being crowned this year's Miss Universe Philippines.

In a separate crowning moment on the early hours of May 23, Valencia was crowned Miss Supranational Philippines 2024 succeeding Alethea Ambrosio. Valencia also snatched the Miss Mags and Miss Villa Medica awards.

She is set to compete for the Miss Supranational crown next year.

The 22-year-old beauty queen is a model and a brand ambassador. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management, specializing in International Tourism, from the University of Baguio.

She was Miss Baguio Turismo 2023 titleholder and also holds the title of Miss HRAB (Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio) 2023.
