Baguio City, Philippines — After a week of intense competition, Baguio City once again secured the second overall spot in the recently concluded Batang Pinoy 2025, finishing with an impressive 237-medal haul.

Organized by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), this year’s Batang Pinoy was held in General Santos City from October 25 to 30, drawing nearly 20,000 athletes from across the country, according to the PSC.

The Summer Capital delegation amassed 91 gold, 72 silver, and 74 bronze medals, maintaining its rank as the second-best performing city in the national youth games.

Topping the overall standings was Pasig City, which clinched 254 medals (95 gold, 72 silver, and 87 bronze). Pasig achieved a back-to-back championship, having also taken the top spot in 2024 with 105 gold, 64 silver, and 116 bronze medals, ending Baguio’s four-year dominance of the event.

Davao City, which placed fourth in 2024, secured third place this year with 53 gold, 53 silver, and 68 bronze medals.

Other Cordillera provinces also performed notably: Benguet earned 16 gold, 8 silver, and 19 bronze; Tabuk City collected 10 gold, 6 silver, and 8 bronze; Mountain Province garnered 6 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze; Ifugao won 1 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze; while Abra took home 1 silver medal.

The official medal tally was released through the Batang Pinoy website.
