Baguio City, Philippines - Baguio police are now reminding store owners in the city to be cautious against robbers, especially at night.

This comes after a convenience store in Barangay Luwalhati, Baguio City, was robbed by yet-to-be-known individuals on Saturday, March 2, 2024.

When questioned by the police, the cashier of the convenience store recounted that it was early morning on said day when three men, who pretended to be customers, entered the store.

Minutes later, one of them suddenly pointed a gun at the cashier and took the money from the cash register. The amount of stolen money was not disclosed by the police.

Currently, investigators are establishing the identity of the suspects, and they initially revealed that the three robbers used a white van as their getaway vehicle.

In his interview with local media, Police Captain Arthur Opate of Baguio City Police Station 3 advised the public, particularly 24/7 store owners, to be cautious if suspicious groups enter their stores.

"Mag-ingat sa mga papasok sa mga establishment lalo na pag yong mga taong yan eh grupo tapos gabi... Mga naka-facemask o kaya mga takip ang mukha o nakasombrero. Paalala sa mga publiko na magdoble ingat," he said.
