Brgy. Cagaluan, Pasil is Top 3 Most Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa 2022 in CAR

Pasil, Kalinga – Barangay Cagaluan of Pasil was conferred the Plaque of Recognition and a P20,000 development grant after having been assessed and scored 91.60 points - equivalent to a Very Satisfactory performance in the regional search for 2022 Most Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive Awards.

The award was given by the regional Department of the Interior and Local Government to Lupon Chairman John Ayangdo, Lupon Secretary Jemaimah Suma-il, and Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Helen Lacuesta during the 31st Local Government Month on Tuesday, October 25 at Hotel Elizabeth, Baguio City.

MLGOO Lacuesta likewise received a Plaque of Recognition in the same event for sharing her “invaluable time, knowledge, inputs, and efforts” that helped the lupon of Cagaluan achieve their accolade.

Being efficient in resolving disputes in their village, Cagaluan lupon gained recognition at the local level before it was endorsed in the regionwide search under the 4th to 6th Class Municipality category.

The lupon was earlier awarded by the municipal government with a P10,000 cash prize, pursuant to the Municipal Ordinance No. 2021-07 authored by former Chairman of Peace and Order Committee Ronnie Bawalan.

Mayor Alfredo “Chao-ig” Malannag Jr. commended the team for excelling in the regional search. He posed a challenge to other lupons in the locality to also perform at the best of their abilities.
