Baguio City, Philippines – After disappearing last month, a 51-year-old carpenter was discovered as a decomposing cadaver.

He was found on Thursday, January 11, in a ravine at the boundary of Barangay San Luis and Mirador Dominican, Baguio City.

The housekeeper who first saw the body promptly reported it to the authorities and the victim, Manuel Tamundong, was identified by his family through his clothing—a hoody black sweatshirt, blue "Maong" pants, and brown shoes.

The autopsy revealed no signs of struggle or defensive wounds. It is believed that, due to alcohol intoxication, he may have fallen off the 15-meter-deep ravine where he was discovered.

The victim was last seen in Barangay Dominican Mirador, engaging in a drinking spree with friends.

This incident follows a similar discovery in September last year when the cadaver of a construction worker was found buried in a vacant lot in the city.

The victim's brother located him after tracking an unpleasant odor emanating from his brother’s barracks.

Subsequently, police identified another construction worker as the suspect.
