Ifugao, Philippines – “Yung meron ebidensya na nag Mañanita at lumabag sa batas e promoted. Yung wala naman ebidensya na kumuha ng kickback, tinira sa primetime TV. I am aggrandized,” said Former Ifugao Congressman Teddy Baguilat Jr. in a Twitter post after allegation that he’s involved in corruption in the Department of Public Works and Highways was mentioned.

Just this December 28, President Rodrigo Duterte read lists of names of lawmakers who are alleged to be involved in corruption noting that the accusation has no evidence.

“I just want to assure everybody that the reading of your name is not a condemnation or an indictment that you are guilty of something. In the same manner that I would tell the people that do not take it as gospel truth na totoo talaga ito, lumabas lang ito sa investigation ng PACC,” Duterte said.

Among the nine lawmakers who were named, Baguilat was alleged to have been receiving kickbacks from construction projects in Ifugao in connivance with former District Engineer Lorna Ricardo.

In his other tweet, Baguilat claimed that if he was receiving kickback, he would not try so hard to help sell products of Cordilleran producers.

“Kung tumatanggap ako ng kickback noong Congressman ako, di na sana ako naghihirap tumulong magbenta ng pinunnog, honey at kape ng mga Cordilleran producers,” he tweeted.

Moreover, he retweeted a post from a journalist about the the vaccination of presidential security group with non-FDA approved Sinopharm saying that it should be the one that needs to be investigated.

Meantime, other tagged in the list include Occidental Mindoro Rep. Josephine Ramirez Sato; Quezon City Rep. Alfred Vargas; Misamis Occidental Rep. Henry Oaminal; Isabela Rep. Alyssa Sheena Tan; Northern Samar Rep. Paul Daza; Quezon Rep. Angelina "Helen" Tan; ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Eric Yap; and Bataan Rep. Geraldine Roman.
