Cop from Sagada, Mt. Province dominates National Bodybuilding Tilt, set to represent PH Worldwide

Sagada, Mt. Province - True to the grit and discipline of the Cordillerans, Police Executive Master Sergeant Eduardo Balabag from Sagada, Mt. Province, brought home honor after sweeping titles in the recently concluded 9th National Athletic Committee (NAC) Phil-Asia International Body Building and Bikini Competition.


Conducted on September 20 in Cebu City, the prestigious event gathered top bodybuilders from across the country and Asia, where competitors showcased their physiques before international judges to out best others and be chosen to compete on the world stage.

During the contest, Balabag showed his sculpted body, carved through years of training and diet, and executed his exhibition routines well, captivating the judges and distinguishing him from the other competitors.


The cop from Sagada eventually emerged as the champion in both the Bodybuilding Open Division (Medium Category) and the Bodybuilding Masters Division (40–50 years). His dominance in these categories earned him the Overall Champion award.


Following his victory on the national stage, Balabag is set to represent the country in the NAC Universe Qualifier in Germany, scheduled in November this year.


At present, Balabag is training for the said upcoming international bodybuilding competition while simultaneously performing his responsibilities as a law enforcement officer at Baguio City Police Station.


The BCPO commended the Igorot cop for his accomplishment, celebrating his success as a victory for the police department and a proud moment for the Cordillera.


“His success brings pride and honor not only to himself but also to the entire BCPO, serving as an inspiration to all personnel to strive for excellence both in service and in personal endeavors,” the BCPO wrote.
