Baguio City, Philippines—Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from the Cordillera region recorded a total of P20.5 million in sales (cash and booked) during the 2025 National Trade Fair held at the SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City recently, the highest among all participating regions.

The fair that took place from July 23 to 27, 2025, served as a platform for various MSMEs from around the country to promote and sell their locally made products, as they earn more income and showcase their cultural identities.

In said national trade fair, three main sections of Filipino craftsmanship were featured: footwear (highlights generations-old shoemaking techniques), hand-carved furniture (showcases Filipino woodworking skills), and fashion (features textiles that reflect cultural identity).

According to DTI-Cordillera, a total of 49 MSMEs from the region participated in the five-day products exposition and contributed nearly 17 percent of the event’s nationwide figures.

In a statement, the regional DTI office praised the continued growth of Cordillera local businesses and the support system that uplifts them.

“We would like to thank the support of our Tatak Pinoy Program for the continuous assistance in developing the products of Cordillera MSMEs. We likewise congratulate our ever-hardworking and passionate MSMEs. Thank you for championing Cordillera's creativity, culture, and skill at the national expo. To our clients, maraming salamat po sa inyong pagtangkilik ng mga produktong gawang Cordillera at Tatak MSME,” the agency wrote.

As for the breakdown of the sales or what the top-selling items were, Guru Press Cordillera reached out to the DTI-CAR to detail it, but they have no response as of this writing.
